Uptown Bill’s is a coffee house, performance venue, and a community meeting place.
We offer great organic coffee roasted by Cafe del Sol and more than 20 varieties of tea (including several from Peet’s) We also have the best selection of soda pop in Iowa City.
How about a sandwich? We have several on our menu. Or an ice cream sundae or shake? We serve those over the old Pearson’s ice cream counter.
Uptown Bill’s hosts a variety of entertainment each week, including:
- Spoken Word. Wednesdays, 7pm. Ten minute slices of poetry and other writings. All are welcome to read.
- Open Mic. Thursdays, 7pm. Ten minute performances of music and other arts. Sign up at the coffee house.
- Saturday Night Music. Concerts every Saturday at 7pm by local and touring musical groups.
